BS AI @ FAST-NUCES • Building voice-first AI agents

01 —

About

A bit about who I am, where I study, and what I care about building.

I'm Hamid — a BS Artificial Intelligence student at FAST-NUCES Islamabad (Batch 2024–2028). I build production-grade AI systems that solve real-world problems — not classroom demos.

I specialize in Computer Vision, Voice AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Robotics. My work spans from autonomous robots that save lives in burning buildings to voice agents that control your entire PC through speech.

My core stack includes Python, C++, Machine Learning, LLM Integration (Claude API, OpenAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex), RAG Pipelines, and Hardware-Software Integration.

I'm available for remote opportunities, freelance GenAI development, and collaborations. If you're building something interesting with AI — let's talk.

Projects

A mix of voice AI, LLM pipelines, and developer tooling — each built to solve a real problem.

Project 01

AEGIS

A robot that enters burning buildings and finds victims before any human has to.

Built after the Gul Plaza fire in Karachi killed 79 people because rescuers had no visibility inside the building. AEGIS is an autonomous fire-rescue robot that detects humans in real-time using YOLOv8, classifies victims as conscious or unconscious via pose estimation, locates them outside camera view through 4-microphone acoustic triangulation, maps the building using ORB-SLAM, plans the shortest rescue path with A*, and lets field operators ask voice questions and get spoken answers instantly via Whisper STT. Seven integrated AI subsystems, built solo in under 3 months.

Project 02

PETiFi

A robotic pet that sees you, understands your gestures, and navigates the world on its own.

PETiFi is an end-to-end intelligent robotic system with full autonomous navigation and multi-modal AI perception. Built using ROS2 for obstacle avoidance and autonomous movement, real-time hand gesture recognition for intuitive control, face detection for user identification, and barcode authentication for secure access control. Multiple AI subsystems running simultaneously on real hardware — delivered as a complete working solution.
